Spring 2025 Artist Gatherings in Frome

Join us for a series of free events to support Frome’s creative community.

We want to bring creative folk together to make connections, share ideas, and support new approaches. Each gathering has a different theme, you can come to one event or all of them. Please book a free place if possible to help us plan for numbers.

Artist Gathering: Meet-Up & Dinner
Wednesday 23rd April
6-8pm, Makers’ Yard

An informal meet-up, open to all, to share ideas and projects. We’ll introduce ourselves, offer some examples of inspiring projects from elsewhere, and invite people to discuss things in the pipeline locally.
Plus a tasty veggie dinner from Sonny’s Kitchen.

Artist Gathering: Climate Connections
Wednesday 21st May
6-8pm, Silk Mill Gallery

This gathering will focus on how we, as creatives, can develop a creative response to the climate emergency, and incorporate climate awareness into our work. We’ll have presentations from local artists Cherry Truluck & Annalee Levin, followed by open discussions and creative tasks.

Artist Training: The Role of Culture in Response to the Earth Crisis
Wednesday 11th June
6-8pm, Online

We have invited Bridget McKenzie (Climate Declares, Climate Museum UK) to lead an online workshop looking at how we can make positive changes as individual creative practitioners. Terrestrial are covering the costs of this workshop so that artists in the Frome area can access for free (booking required). Part of Frome Big Green Week.

An Open Space event - all welcome.
