Playful consultancy
from an arts organisation that specialises in community adventures.
We can help you to develop your creative vision, bring together partners, reflect on your achievements and navigate unknown futures.
Our consultancy is based on three key approaches:
1. Forming generous partnerships
We work with a myriad of different partners to deliver ambitious community projects – from schools to sports teams, large local authorities to tiny charities. We love to help new partnerships thrive by building a shared vision and a ‘co-created’ idea of success.
2. Exploring the unknown
Most people like to stick to plans and familiar terrain. By working with visionary artists, we have grown to become confident in getting lost and letting ideas evolve without predetermined outcomes. We have a bank of experiences and examples that can help people feel safe exploring the unknown.
3. Embracing wildness
Everyone has radical ideas waiting to be set free. We create welcoming environments where people can express their boldest thoughts.
So how can we support you, your organisation or network?
Hosting
We are playful, friendly, intuitive facilitators. We can help you gather partners and set up an atmosphere for good collaboration – designing events, communications with stakeholders, on-the-day hosting. We particularly like using Open Space meetings, but can work with you to find the best format for your group.
Vision Days
Sometimes it’s important to get back to basics… What are you hoping to achieve with your work? Which relationships would you most like to develop? How do you measure success? We love helping people to answer these big questions, whether through one-to-one mentoring, visiting organisations, or hosting a ‘vision day’ for your group, board or partnership.
Artists in Residence
For our own work, we ‘matchmake’ collaborations between incredible artists and inspiring community groups. We support these pairings to create adventures together. This means we’ve got a brilliant family of associate artists – working across performance, music, visual art, film, design, dance and more – and we can recommend people to spend time with your organisations. Whether you want a little illustration for your website, someone to run youth engagement, or total shake-up of your office, we can put you in touch with wonderful creatives.
If you’d like to have an informal chat about how we might work together, please email Director Tom Spencer.
“Tom the facilitator was very engaging, brought new ways of thinking (to me) about partnership working, great examples of work in action and fun activities during the session." - Workshop attendee, Edventure Frome.
